I haven't tried, and re the save, for me I've not played more than 1 minute IN game (but as my steam account states, I've spent over an hour opening the game multiple times/going through cutscenes 0.0) so I have no actual game activity to loose.ĭying Light2 out now anyway so when I've finished that. I haven't tried this but will - thanks very much for posting that link (bookmarked) I have done this and I do believe it was advice from a post of yours on someone else's CTD issue so thanks for that but alas, it didn't work :( I do have 200gb free on my c drive/ nvme M.2 drive - until a second SSD is delivered I will install destiny 2 to the c drive / m.2 (although i typically keep ALL games either on an SSD or less demanding games go on the afore mentioned WD Black SATA drive, but as said currently 512gb SSD is full (time to buy a 1TB SSD) - so I'll make an exception and install D2 on the nvme/m.2 I'll also attempt to witness task managers display. Thanks will try this - hopefully it will give me an idea of what process is triggered and hopefully I'll be able to see which app or ? is clashing. I've barely managed to run through the "dump"/intro area into the first building? (or whatever it is) and then some process is triggered and the game CTDs. Literally under 2 minutes of actual (secondary) "sign in" - which initial sign in would then be followed by character creation, secondary sign in = selecting character then entering the game, followed by 1st cutscene then 2nd cutscene of the eyeball robot thing. Harddrive is defragmented weekly (if changes have been made, sooner) and has adequate excess space, HD Tune PRO reports zero issues with the drive.ĬPU & GPU temps are fine as with mobo & ram.ġ00% its a process of the game as the CTD is repeatable, without fail. All netframework, directx, vcredist etc etc all up to date. GPU driver is upto date (and tried older), previous driver installs have been cleared/cleaned after creating a restore point. CTRL+ALT+DEFEAT : thanks for your info - all that is covered.
